Why the Blue Duck?

I read a Dilbert comic that I found absolutely hilarious. Personally, I interpreted it as complete ignorance of one’s personal limitations (for the positive). I learned later, that it was simply a satire of something ‘disruptive’ (i.e. Lowest Common Denominator).
